the greatest thing abt elementary doing so well is that it opens so many doors for more shows w/ POC in leading roles. The “justification” that i always see for whitewashing is that audiences don’t want and won’t watch media with non-white leads. Even though its not like we should need to prove anything, it just makes me happy to bathe in the ratings gold, goodBYE

Eon: Dragoneye Reborn was so fucking good. It draws a lot from Japanese and Chinese culture but managed to not feel appropriated. Unlike Cinder, the world didn’t feel handpicked. In Cinder, we get bits and pieces of Japanese and Chinese culture. Everything in Cinder felt appropriated. But Eon’s world building felt much more researched.
